How to access

By Car	From New Chitose Airport: Approx. 70 minutes via the Hokkaido Expressway to Asari IC. From Sapporo: Approx. 40 minutes via the Sasson Expressway to Asari IC From Asari IC: Approx. 1 minute. *After exiting Asari IC, turn right and continue straight for approximately 1 km. The main entrance to Kourakuen is next to Seicomart. Please note: Some car navigation systems may direct you to the rear of the property. For easier navigation, search for 5-18-2 Shinko, Otaru, Hokkaido, near Asari Onsen-dori and Hokkaido Prefectural Route 1.
By Taxi	From JR Otaru Station: Approx. 25 minutes From JR Minami-Otaru Station: Approx. 20 minutes From Otaru Music Box Museum: Approx. 20 minutes From JR Otaru-Chikko Station: Approx. 15 minutes
By Bus	From JR Otaru Station, board the No. 13 bus bound for Asarigawa Onsen at Platform 2 of the Chuo Bus Terminal. Get off at Kourakuen. Approx. 30 minutes / ¥240
By Train	●From New Chitose Airport: Take the Rapid Airport train bound for Otaru for approximately 80 minutes to JR Otaru-Chikko Station. From there, take a taxi for approximately 15 minutes. ●From JR Sapporo Station: Take a rapid train bound for Otaru for approximately 30 minutes to JR Otaru-Chikko Station. From there, take a taxi for approximately 15 minutes.
*JR Asari Station is the nearest station to Kourakuen. However, it is an unmanned station and there is no taxi stand, so taxis are not normally waiting there. If you use JR Asari Station, you will need to arrange a taxi yourself. The taxi ride to Kourakuen takes approximately 10 minutes.
